The ceremony features diverse programs such as the presentation of national awards given to those who have made efforts to attract foreign direct invest- ment (FDI) for a year, gala dinner and celebration reception attended by more than 600 invited dignitaries including the officials of foreign-invested companies, related institutions and government agencies who have made a great effort to attract foreign investment together with foreign diplomatic missionaries, executives of foreign chambers of commerce in Korea, foreign global CEOs, foreign investors, and journalists working for global news agencies and various foreign media outlets.

The Foreign Company Day celebration event bears testament to the strong commitment and devotion of the gover- nment and all its related public organi- zations to encourage foreign-invested companies to make new or continuous foreign direct investment in the country. The event has made notable contribu- tions to the country's achievement of more than US$10 billion in FDI annually over the years despite a global financial crisis.
